Merger announcement forming WAIYS AS

WAIYS GmbH and former Earth Wind & Power AS announce merger to form WAIYS AS

Oslo, Norway, and Dresden, Germany – 11th of October 2024 – Former Earth Wind & Power AS (EWP) has merged with WAIYS GmbH to form WAIYS AS, an innovative technology company set to deliver integrated sustainable AI solutions.

This merger follows a targeted restructuring of EWP during which a minority of shareholders de-merged to form a new organisation, inheriting the EWP trademark. The remaining company with its existing operation and original team renamed to WAIYS AS in preparation for the merger.

This strategic merger brings together EWP’s expertise in leveraging stranded energy for data center projects with WAIYS’ advanced AI technologies, hardware, software, and infrastructure solutions. Together, they create a unified entity ready to offer comprehensive end-to-end offerings to clients.

In today’s rapidly changing world, the potential of AI is clear. However, the journey to implement AI can be challenging due to significant energy demands as well as emerging concerns about ethics and security. WAIYS’ objective is to overcome these challenges through sustainable computing incorporating waste heat recovery and selecting the most energy-efficient chip technologies. We deliver powerful local AI edge solutions prioritizing speed and data privacy. Simultaneously, we provide scalable high density and high performance AI that operates on renewable and stranded energy sources. With a complete inhouse range of services, from roadmapping to implementation, WAIYS is now fully equipped to deliver seamless industry-specific AI solutions, tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.

Our modular product portfolio offers flexible entry points to meet the diverse AI needs of customers. Examples range from on-premise Large Language or Multimodal Models, to big data analysis, and robotics solutions for the hospitality industry. WAIYS helps clients consolidate their AI strategy, customize software solutions, and handle AI chip provisioning and device integration. With a proprietary platform that ensures seamless communication and smooth integration across the value chain, WAIYS leverages its expertise in generative AI, robotic programming, and custom infrastructure to guide clients through their AI transformation journey.

WAIYS is also committed to continue pioneering collaborations in areas such as neuromorphic computing, robotics and sustainable AI with a strong focus on Research and Development throughout the value chain.

“This merger marks a bold step into the future of AI. By combining WAIYS’ advanced AI capabilities with EWP’s expertise, we are now uniquely positioned to deliver holistic value to our existing customers, and help new customers unlock the full potential of AI and prepare for the future.

We are also excited to announce our participation at GITEX 2024 in Dubai from October 14th to 18th and the ICCA Congress in Abu Dhabi from October 20th to 23rd. This marks our first joint activity following the merger, and we will be showcasing at the German Pavilion alongside Ameca, our humanoid robot” says Nicolas Röhrs, the new Chairman for the merged entity.

All existing partnerships, supplier agreements, and client relationships previously associated with Earth Wind & Power AS will continue under the WAIYS name. The same dedicated team will ensure operational excellence as WAIYS continues to deliver innovative solutions that position businesses for long-term success in the rapidly evolving AI landscape.
